Luming plaza,National Taiwan University
The campus used to be cut into two parts by a road, each part with its own theme and orientation. After the Road is given back, the Plaza is envisioned to “sew” them together and to create a new campus space. A boomerang-shaped pedestrian walkway is provided to connect the two. The walkway is slightly sunken with one side embraced by a stone wall while the other side is a sloped grass. Banners can be hung on light posts, and Deerfield Hall is opened up at its front and side, and become a part of the Plaza.
