The building is for the operation and production of color filter for TFT-LCD. The lower four floors are for production and storage while the fifth floor is for office use. The floor plate is too deep for office, and two terraces and a skylight were provided to break down the volume and also to increase outdoor exposure at the fifth floor.Exterior design generates from company product and fritted glass with green, blue, red, and gray combine to achieve the image of color filter. Fourth floor is recessed so that the fifth floor cantilevers out. A core is placed at the corner next to main entry to create a vertical massing. Main part of the massing is clad with metal panels and windows with rhythmic and yet vibrating layout. All these help to relieve the originally boxy and enclosed massing into a humanistic as well as playful architecture.
