University of Taipei Library
The site is on Ai-Guo West Road, a wide avenue with flush greenery and in the vicinity of Presidential Palace. Existing library was designed by renown woman architect Xiu Zelan, with design echoing Louis Kahn's Exeter Lirbary.
The proposal takes cue from its predessesor, placing reading spaces in boxes at periphery and cluster around a central atrium along with stack spaces. This arrangement provides a sense of serenity and possibility for natural light and ventilation.
