The Client is a technology corporation designing and manufacturing "router". The Project is a rooftop addition to accommodate leisure and dining space for the fast-growing company and staff. Design concept takes cues from function of "router", which chooses internet routes in an adhoc and free pattern. Mongolian yurt is applied as concept and diagram among various functions of the facility, which dictates a free, changeable, mutually-dependent relationship instead of static, linear, hierachical ones. Walls and seatings may be rearranged according to uses' needs, and curved elements are applied to reinforce the theme. Landscaping is also treated with landform touch to play down the original rigid massing and rooftop mechanical facilities, and also provides better connection with view of open country.
