Exquisite Taiwan Ceramics Tableware
In response to the trends of “localization” and “globalization” the Council for Cultural Affairs is actively promoting the development of cultural innovation industry. The initial choice has been to focus on ceramics, a combination of culture and economics that creates high value added commodities. It is in light of this that such, Taipei County Yingger Ceramics Museum has developed a set of quality ceramic tableware to promote the image of “Taiwan Brands – Stunning Ceramics.”We have incorporated elements of local Taiwanese culture in the shape and patterns used to decorate the tableware. At the same time, we have also taken inspiration from our ancestors, combining the works with modern life aesthetics and familiar pattern designs to create something that is a distinct Taiwanese brand. Because tableware is an important part of every day life, producing an attractive ceramic tableware set has also provided us with the opportunity to redesign the aesthetics of Taiwanese life, imperceptibly forming a refined etiquette that will take our lifestyle to a new level. Finally, these ceramic items will emphasize design concepts taken from Taiwanese culture and the uniqueness of the Taiwanese brand, ensuring Taiwanese style has a wider international audience. It is our hope that “Taiwan Brands – Stunning Ceramics” helps to infuse quality cultural elements into the operation of Taiwanese industry and thereby serve as an important indicator of culture innovation industry in Taiwan.
“Practical Wisdom, Innovative Life” sums up the basic spirit applied by the design of the “Interset” tableware set by architect Eric C. Shih. The 48-piece set takes as its characteristics “a linear design that combines traditional concentric forms,” “a design that transcends material boundaries and ideas” whilst “highlighting classical character and modern taste.” The design seeks to be both popular and universal, displaying a quality that transcends different areas of design and diversity by using a variety of materials. This free and creative combination makes the set suitable for both Chinese and Western cuisine, a hotel, a restaurant and more importantly one’s own home. Five artists helped to decorate the tableware set, ensuring “Interset” is the perfect aesthetic combination of art and life.Yellow Water Lily Series:The spreading leaves of the yellow water lily, indigenous to Taiwan, appear like an unrestrained smile on the cutlery. Quality cuisine moves the taste buds the fragrance of the yellow water lily fills the air. The food on the plates and in the bowls does not have to be delicate cuisine of every kind, to make one feel that the taste of life is complete happiness.
